Air Products proposes hydrogen pipeline
New hydrogen source for upgraders and other industry northeast of Edmonton
Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta (January 29, 2008) – Air Products today announced plans to build a new hydrogen pipeline from its existing facilities in Strathcona County to serve the Alberta Industrial Heartland upgrader/refinery area and other industrial users northeast of Edmonton. Hydrogen is a major feedstock for bitumen upgrading and refining and enables the production of cleaner burning transportation fuels. The pipeline will help to create the infrastructure needed to accommodate current and future demand for hydrogen in the area. News Release
