North American Picks Site to Build $7.5B Upgrader
Calgary-based firm considers public equity offer North American Oil Sands Corporation has acquired 1,351 acres of land near Fort Saskatchewan to build its $7.5-billion bitumen upgrader, according to disclosure documents. Urban Areas Clash on County Line
Edmonton and Strathcona County are in a boundary dispute that has halted approval of the county's revised Municipal Development Plan . Two New Dealerships in Sherwood Park
Sherwood Park Hyundai and Sherwood Park Toyota located in Shivam Park opened their doors this month. The dealerships pride themselves on their environmental initiatives such as flourescent light, burning used oil as a heat source and a biological parts cleaner. Statistics Canada Releases 2006 Population Figures
According to Statistics Canada, Strathcona County's population has increased 14.6% with a total of 82,511 people. The provincial population has increased 10.6% with 3,290,350 people now calling Alberta home. View the PDF from Statistics Canada.
