Christmas in Strathcona County
Are you feeling the winter doldrums? Need some fresh air? Well pack up the family and take in some of the wonderful holiday events and attractions in Strathcona County . When it is -30 outside and you are getting cabin fever, take a stroll through a local greenhouse. This should most definitely put you in better spirits and you could get some of your Christmas shopping done at the same time. Check out the events at the Sherwood Park Mall. A trip to see Santa Claus at a number of locations in the area can make for great pictures with the kids and also serves as a holiday spirit builder for adults. When the weather is a bit warmer, take a winter hike or cross-country ski at the Strathcona Wilderness Centre, Elk Island Park or Cooking Lake Blackfoot Recreation Area. Don’t just curl up on the couch this holiday season, get out and enjoy the winter and what Strathcona County has to offer over the holidays.
